This sub-workshop will provide a detailed presentation of the initial results of the Public Health and Air Pollution in Asia (PAPA) review of the 28 existing time series health studies in Asia (drawn from over 160 studies identified to date). It will also describe plans for new PAPA studies in a number of Asian cities. Finally, it will briefly describe efforts by investigators in several Asian countries to measure the health benefits of reducing air pollution.
