In Vietnam, Chrysotile is being used in whole of the asbestos cement roofing sheet enterprises (about 40) with input capacity approximately 60 thousand ton per year. Although not dangerous like crocidolite and amosite, chrysotile is cause pneumoconioses and lung cancer. In the asbestos cement roofing sheet enterprises, there are many pollution maters, but chrysotile dust is most dangerous.

While the chrysotile is been replaced by uncontaminated materials, the authour recommends options to prevent existing pollution to protect labour health, and ensure substainable development of asbestos cement roofing sheet enterprises during chrysotile is being replaced with uncontaminated materials.
