APT445 Inspection of Particle Control Devices
This course presents the baseline inspection techniques. The course content will cover the inspection of the typical air pollution control devices such as mechanical collectors, fabric filters, wet scrubbers and electrostatic precipitators. Measurement of inspection parameters and preparation of flow charts will also included. This course serves as an example of process-related inspection issues which are frequently encountered in field inspection and evaluation work.
This course presents safety procedures for inspecting and evaluating air pollution control systems. Practical techniques are described to aid plant operations personnel and regulatory agency inspectors in minimizing health and safety hazards. Emphasis is placed on the early recognition and avoidance of problems. Unique combinations of hazards found around air pollution control systems are presented. The use of personal protection equipment is discussed. This course is intended to supplement general industrial hygiene and safety procedures which should be followed by all personnel engaged in field work.
APTI455 Inspection of Gas Control Devices and Selected Industries
This course is intended for engineering and field monitoring personnel. It presents an overview of advanced inspection techniques used in the design of inspection protocols, the design of assurance procedures, and are included for equipment most commonly used in advanced source inspections especially gas control devices such as nitrogen oxide control systems, sulfur dioxide control systems and VOC incinerators.
CATNET – Asia Urban Air Quality Management Trainer of Trainers.
This training workshop aims to build skills of facilitators of the upcoming distance learning course on Urban Air Quality Management (UAQM) and teach in the field. The workshop provides an overview of the content of the course, discusses marketing strategies, and assists participants to design local activities through dynamic group sessions. Facilitation materials (including interactive and paper-based) is provided and a learning excursion to a local distance learning center is planned to take place.
