Mailing List: How to change your subscription options
Did you know that membership in the CAI-Asia listserv does not mean that you can only receive individual emails? You can actually change your membership type by sending out one simple email to the Lyris server. The instructions below will show you how. Print this page for your reference.

Note: In case you encounter difficulties, you may send an email to Mike Co (mrco@adb.org) with your request.

1. How to receive daily digests

To receive daily digests, send an email to
lyris@lists.worldbank.org

With the message
set cai-asia digest

(Explanation: Each night, around 12:00 am, you will receive a single email message containing all the messages contributed to the forum that day. At the top of the message will be a numbered list of the subjects in that digest, followed by the complete messages themselves.)

2. MIME digests

Send an email to
lyris@lists.worldbank.org

With the message
set cai-asia MIME digest

(The same as a digest, but in MIME format so that the individual messages' formatting is preserved. Some email clients such as Outlook will show the digest as a series of attachments.)

3. Index

Send an email to
lyris@lists.worldbank.org

With the message
set cai-asia index

(Each night, around 1AM, you will receive a single email message containing all the subject lines of all the messages contributed to the forum that day. If any of the messages interest you, the bottom of the index gives the email command that will retrieve the bodies of the messages. Or, you can access the discussion forum interface directly. See http://vx.worldbank.org/read/?forum=cai-asia)

4. Nomail

Send an email to
lyris@lists.worldbank.org

With the message
set cai-asia nomail

(No email is sent to you. You are free to go the web interface whenever you want, and read the full text of the messages there. This setting is also useful for people who want the ability to contribute to a mailing list, but do not care to see the contributions to the forum. See http://vx.worldbank.org/read/?forum=cai-asia)

5. Individual emails

Send an email to
lyris@lists.worldbank.org

With the message
set cai-asia mail

(Receive messages to your email address as they are contributed to the list. This is the default setting, and the typically the preferred subscription option.)

If you want to find out what your current settings are, send an email to lyris@lists.worldbank.org with the message:

query cai-asia

You will then receive a summary of your account settings.

If you want to unsubscribe from the listserv, just send a blank email to leave-cai-asia@lists.worldbank.org
