Strategic Move Against Two-Stroke Vehicles: Lahore commits to clean the air
Strategic action taken to control air pollution

Lahore, 22 March 2004 -Two-stroke engine rickshaws will be banned from January and only four-stroke engine rickshaws that work on compressed natural gas will be authorised to run in the city, Punjab Environment Minister Makhdoom Ishfaq Ahmed said on Wednesday on a visit to a rickshaw factory.

The city district government has also signed an agreement with the Clear Air Initiative for Asian Cities to control pollution in Lahore.
