Foreword
This Philippine National Standard Code of practice for CNG Compressor refuelling stations: On site storage and location of equipment was prepared by the Technical Committee on Natural Gas Utilization, TC 65 through its Subcommittee on Refuelling in liaison with the Technical Committee on Road Vehicles (TC44) and Technical Committee on Gas cylinders (TC 6). The Bureau of Product Standards approved this standard for adoption.
This standard was made in coordination with the Department of Energy – Energy Utilization Management Bureau in support to the Government’s Natural Gas Vehicle Program for Public Transport (NGVPPT) which was launched by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo last October 16, 2002. It is the target of NGPPT to have 100 natural gas buses plying the country’s major thoroughfares by October 2003 hence the Bureau has fast tracked the development of this standard.
The Malaysian Standard 1204:2001 was used as the working draft in the preparation of this standard.
