Foreword

This Philippine National Standard is identical with International Standard ISO 11439:2000 - Gas cylinders – High pressure cylinders for the on-board storage of natural gas as a fuel for automotive vehicles. It was approved for adoption as Philippine National Standard by the Bureau of Product Standards upon the recommendation of the Technical Committee on Gas Cylinders (BPS/TC 6).

The adoption of this standard was made in coordination with the Department of Energy – Energy Utilization Management Bureau to support the Natural Gas Vehicle Program for Public Transport (NGVPPT).

Within the text of the standard, the following are the minimal editorial changes:

a) the decimal comma shall be interpreted as a decimal point to be consistent with existing convention on our number format.

b) the words "International Standard" shall mean "National Standard".
