Foreword

This Philippine National Standard is identical with International Standard ISO 15501-1:2001 - Road vehicles -- Compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems -- Part 1: Safety requirements . It was approved for adoption as Philippine National Standard by the Bureau of Product Standards upon the joint recommendation of the following Technical Committees:

TC 6 – Technical Committee on Gas Cylinders
TC 44 – Technical Committee on Road Vehicles

The adoption of this standard was made in coordination with the Department of Energy – Energy Utilization Management Bureau to support the Natural Gas Vehicle Program for Public Transport (NGVPPT).

Within the text of the standard, the following are the minimal editorial changes:

a) the decimal comma shall be interpreted as a decimal point to be consistent with existing convention on our number format.

b) the words "International Standard" shall mean "National Standard".
