NEW DELHI, INDIA: Indian President Dr. Abdul Kalam unveiled India's first fuel cell prototype car, developed by Bangalore based REVA Electric Car Company (RECC), at the Technology Day Award ceremony at New Delhi earlier this month. Though it has a short history, REVA has a growing reputation for innovation in India and overseas. After launching it's first electric vehicle in 2001, a tiny 4 seater, the company has grown local and international markets, exporting to the UK and US markets. Though the company does not expect commercial volumes of fuel cell vehicles before 2010, it hopes to find export markets for the fuel cell vehicle as well.
