Working Group Discussions
- Technology – What are the main technologies available in the short-term (for existing vehicles and fuel facilities), and after the stock of vehicles has turned over? What are the long-term options? Can we wait that long?
- Economics – Which technological options are clearly economic or nearly economic? How can the economic calculation of private operators or cash-strapped public entities be strengthened?
- Social Impact/Stakeholder Management – What are the key mechanisms for addressing and mitigating stakeholder concerns?
- Governance/Private Sector Involvement – To improve transport, what does the private sector expect of government? What does government need from the private sector?
Summary Discussion - Can potential contradictions raised by these four perspectives be resolved? Are there win-win solutions?
