Description:

The World Bank is assisting the Hanoi People Committee with the preparation of the Hanoi Urban Transport Project. The project will assist Hanoi to implement a sustainable urban transport strategy and urban air quality improvement. The Air Quality Management Component has been planned with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and other stakeholders including donors involved in air quality management in Hanoi.

Objectives: As the project gets into the further preparation process, the task team organized a round-table discussion to consult with stakeholders and get valuable comments on the proposed component conceptual design, develop details on what should be included and discuss the next steps for the final component design with details regarding hardware, technical assistance and studies, and implementation arrangements.
