Description:
This workshop has been developed to share the experience on the methodology of database development on estimation of emissions from biomass burning in Mekong River Basin Sub-Region resulted from the research project entitled "Estimation of pollutants emission from biomass burning in the Mekong River Basin Sub-Region (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam).
The workshop will address the importance of emissions from biomass burning for regional air quality modeling and monitoring. Parameters influencing qualitatively and quantitatively these emissions will be presented. Principles and methodology of emission estimation will be provided. How to include the estimation of these emissions into national and regional emission inventory will be discussed. Concrete applications will be presented to the participants through a hands-on session.
