An Urban Air Quality Management (UAQM) Training of Trainers was organized by the World Bank Institute in partnership with the Institut Teknologi Bandung on September 19-23, 2005 in Bandung, Indonesia. The 5-day course utilized 8 modules of the World Bank distance learning course on UAQM. It was coordinated by Dr. Puji Lestari of the Institute for Research and Community Services (IRCS-ITB). The training of trainers course aimed to broaden the knowledge of academic experts who are expected to teach the course to students, government and NGOs.
Twenty-two participants from academic institutions and government agencies from Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam participated in the course. ITB acknowledges the financial support of the CIDA-AIT partnership on the Southeast Asia-Urban Environment Management Applications (SEA-UEMA) project, making it possible for the other Asian participants to attend.
