Training Course on Environmental Monitoring
29 May to 2 June 2006, Khanspur, Nathiagali

The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission is planning to hold a weak long training course in Environmental Monitoring starting from May 29th, 2006 at Khanspur, Nathiagali.

This training course would be cover the following themes:

  • Historical Perspective: Complexities of Environmental Pollution.
  • Need for Sensitive Specific, and Accurate Monitoring Techniques.
  • Spectroscopic Monitoring / Analytical Techniques (Emission Spectroscopic / Fluorescence / Flame Photometry).
  • Applications of Satellite Data in Environmental Monitoring.
  • Introduction to NEQs as well as Emission Standards
  • Legislative aspects of Environmental Protection.


The course will be highly beneficial to Engineers, Scientist & Managers working in various industrial domains, Public Health Organizations, NGOs Educational Institutions, Environmental Protection Agencies and many more.

We would welcome participants from CAI-Asia Members. Course Fee etc. are being worked out.
