Trip Costs Analysis of Bus Rapid Transit (2005)
Proceedings of the Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies, Vol. 5, pp. 2195 - 2210, 2005

In this study, the authors established trip cost models in the view points of social cost and applied the model to analyze the trip cost as well as the performance of BRT system in Taipei metropolitan area. In the performance analysis, they evaluated the trip costs of conventional bus and BRT and conducted sensitivity analysis for BRT trips in order to understand the performance and the potential contribution of BRT. The results can be used as the basis for formulating BRT strategies and assessing urban transportation policies related.
