A program targeting strategies to resolve difficulties experienced by Ulaanbaatar and to provide cost-efficient and safe technology to protect the environment is showing results.

Implemented in June 2006, the ‘Integrated Urban Development, Construction Sector and VET Promotion’ comprises four components: cost and energy-efficient housing construction; cost and energy-efficient rehabilitation of existing housing stock (apartment buildings); environmentally-friendly and participatory development strategies for Ger-upgrading and demand-driven vocational education and training in collaboration with the private sector.
