Clean Air Network Nepal in association with Clean Energy Nepal and Environment and Public Health Organization is going to organize a half day training workshop on lung function tests using a hand held spirorometer. Mr. Eric Cheng, a medical volunteer from Canada is the resource person for the training workshop.
The invited participants for the workshop are 20 volunteers from 10 different environment colleges in Kathmandu Valley. After this training these volunteers are going to be involved in a Lung Function Testing Campaign targeted for school kids who are exposed to Kathmandu’s polluted air. CANN intends to launch this campaign in at least six government schools situated near by air quality monitoring stations. The basic aim of this campaign is to raise awareness on health impacts of air pollution and generate primary data for awareness and advocacy.
