Asia Clean Energy Forum
26-28 June 2007, Manila, Philippines

The Asia Clean Energy Forum was a unique opportunity for nearly 400 delegates (project developers, the financial community and policy makers) to share information and exchange best practices on clean energy policy, finance, and the scaling up of clean energy technology. Through targeted sessions on renewable energy, energy efficiency, carbon markets and knowledge management, participants identifed the challenges faced by the public and private sector institutions related to project development and finance, and explored innovative ways to tackle these challenges. Over the course of three days, exchanges between leaders in the energy field highlighted effective policies and finance strategies to promote greater use of clean energy in Asia and the Pacific.

Ms. Bebet Gozun, Acting Chair of the CAI-Asia Partnership, gave a presentation during Session 6: Promoting Sustainable Transport. Mr. Charles Melhuish, one of the key champions of CAI-Asia and now Acting Chief Executive of the Global TRansport Knowledge Partnership, also spoke at the same session.
