The Society for Automotive Fitness & Environment - SAFE (an initiative of SIAM) is a not for profit, registered NGO which, apart from organizing road safety & emission related programmes, also works towards information enhancement and capacity building by creating a platform for knowledge sharing by various experts, leaders, and achievers. The SAFE Annual Convention is one such forum where we aim to create a confluence of experience and knowledge.

The SAFE Annual Convention 2007, is an endeavour in association with the Government of Madhya Pradesh to present the initiatives from the government, private sector, and non government organizations to translate into reality, the theme for the convention:"Riding the Roads: To a Safer and Greener Tomorrow." The objective of the seminar is to bring together experts, policy makers, and all stakeholders to exchange best practices and consider suitably adopting or adapting them to further the cause of sustainable development throughout the country.

The spotlight would be on two sessions that aim to inspire – ‘Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Success Stories’, where we welcome the corporate(s) to come forward and share the various projects related to Road Safety, Traffic Volunteers, Campaigns, Trainings, Database Management, Capacity Building,; we want to know it all and the session on ‘Path Breaking Strategies from Government – Road Safety & Vehicular Pollution’, because there have been various initiatives & strategies implemented by State Governments, which have succeeded in changing peoples’ lives; we would like people to know about them. The third session is a panel discussion on ‘Indore – Towards Safer & Greener Tomorrow’. In this session we desire to share about the various projects undertaken in the city which has forced its position onto the map of INDIA.

The convention would also host an exposition showcasing initiatives in the areas of Traffic Management, Congestion, In Use Vehicle Emission, Enforcement, and Safety etc.
