On August 15, 2007 the Leadership of the Vietnam Clean Air Partnership (VCAP) had a meeting to review and approve the Proposal on VCAP activities for the period from September to December 2007.

The members of the VCAP Leadership discussed the Proposal of activities prepared by the Secretary General and the Coordinator and have agreed on the following: (1) Contents of the Coordinator’s daily activities (in cooperation with the Secretary General), including keeping contact with VCAP members, CAI-Asia, and other partners and providing information on VCAP activities to its members and CAI-Asia; (2) On organizational development: Strengthening and developing the VCAP network in all 3 parts (the North, the Middle and the South) of Vietnam; seeking financial resources for VCAP activities; and conducting the 2007 meeting of the VCAP Executive Board; (3) On some expected activities in 2007 relating to: consultation activities on some air-related projects such as Vietnam Air Quality Report 2007, Hanoi Comprehensive Plan on Air Quality management, Program on Emissions Control of Motorcycles operated in main cities, and Draft of the Governmental Decree on environmental protection fee for emitted gases; participating in the implementation of some projects; seeking financial support and implementing some tasks in the area of raising awareness and information communication. In addition, development of the 2008 action plan and long-term plan for VCAP will be carried out in cooperation with the Executive Board.
