16 Oct 2007 - Sophie Punte, Deputy Director, and Bert Fabian, Head of Transport Unit, jointly delivered the presentation "CAI-Asia and Sustainable Urban Mobility in Asia (SUMA): Bus Rapid Transit Systems" at a meeting with key staff in the Asian Development Bank India Resident Mission in New Delhi on 21 September 2007.

CAI-Asia Center discussed their activities on sustainable urban transport under the context of SUMA and the basics of bus rapid transit systems.

ADB is interested on BRT and its application in the Indian context. It has an ongoing technical assistance on urban transport strategy that provides support to the Ministry of Urban Development for developing Comprehensive Mobility Plan for Indian Cities.
