In China, economic growth evolves rapid motorization so that the growth of automobile industry is promising. On the other hand, increase of vehicle ownership is apprehensive for environment and energy problems. Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI) is pleased to provide a meeting opportunity for discussion and exchanging opinion based on high quality data in order to solve the energy and environment problems due to the motorization. The 5th JARI China Roundtable will be held in Shanghai on January 19th with the topic of "Environmental and Energy Issues at City Level".
In session I of JARI China Roundtable, the overview on automobile and policies will be shown as keynote speeches from government and automobile industry. In session II, vehicle and environment will be discussed.
Through JARI China Roundtable, JARI hope to contribute to the information on the policy on energy and environment and to support for network among experts between Japan and China.
