The CAI-Asia Center and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) holds the Fourth Regional Dialogue of AQM Initiatives and Programs in Asia from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm on 30 January and 9:00 am to 12:00 noon on 31 January. The event will be held at the United Nations Conference Center (http://www.unescap.org/uncc/) at the UN Building in Bangkok.
There is also be a consultation meeting (side event) from 1:30 to 4:30 pm on January 31 to discuss the proposed Integrated Air Quality Management (iAQM) database.
This year’s Regional Dialogue aims to:
- analyze and discuss trends in (a) air quality in Asian cities, (b) air quality priorities of Asian countries, and (b) development assistance for air quality projects in Asia, identify gaps in financing of air quality management (AQM), and recommend steps to fill the gaps;
- share information among regional organizations, programs and initiatives on air quality management; and
- contribute to the discussion of a Long-Term Vision for Improved Air Quality in Asian Cities.
CAI-Asia Center presents the results of its annual Asia-wide survey that covers (a) organizations working in AQM, (b) AQM programs and projects, and (c) AQM training courses.
