1st International Conference on Applied Energy
5-7 January 2009, Hong Kong

The International Conference on Applied Energy (ICAE) is pleased to invite you to participate in the ICAE to be held in January 2009 in Hong Kong.
ICAE'09 will provide an unique platform for worldwide scientists, industrialists and the governmental decision-makers to discuss the advances of the science and technology in applied energy as well as the energy-related policies.

The main objectives of the conference are as follows:

  • To gather experts in applied energy technology from academia and industries around the world, especially in the Asia-Pacific region;
  • To form network of energy technology scientists to facilitate interdisciplinary research and collaboration among researchers in engineering, chemistry, physics and materials science;
  • To strengthen connection between academia and industry to facilitate application of advanced energy technologies;
  • To seek policy support from the government to develop and promote energy technologies.

Abstracts should describe original and unpublished work. The abstract should be less than 400 words and it must clearly state the objective, key findings and conclusion of the work. Key references (limited to 5) may be included in the abstract as well.

Authors must designate one to two appropriate categories for abstract review. All submissions must be in English and should be made as email attachment to the conference secretariat (icae09@hku.hk). The required file format is pdf or MS Word in one single file for each submission.

The abstracts must be received by 30 April 2008. Authors must include their affiliation, mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and email address. Authors will be notified of Abstract Acceptance and Full Paper Instruction by 1 June 2008. Full paper submission is due by 31 August 2008. All accepted papers with registration will be published in the conference proceedings.
