On March 4, 2008, the Clean Air Network Nepal together with the Ministry of Environment Science and Technology, ICIMOD, Center for Pollution Studies, IOE with the support of UNEP, SACEP, and SEI will organize the national stakeholders' workshop on the "Malé Declaration on Control and Prevention of Air Pollution and Its Likely Trans-boundary Effects for South Asia."
The objectives of the workshop are to:
create awareness on air pollution issues and disseminate information on Male Declaration
share and receive the stakeholders views and ideas on the implementation of Male declaration
showcase ongoing regional and national initiatives for air pollution
enhance coordination and partnership among the stakeholders for future work for air pollution
The participants of the workshop will be representatives from all the relevant sectors such as the local people affected by pollution, industry, researchers and intellectuals, experts, academic institutions, media, civil society, and students.
