This short paper gives a concise overview of the challenges and opportunities of utilising the CDM for improving air quality in Asian cities.

It elaborates on the links between air quality and climate change mitigation, and highlights key issues regarding transport sector CDM projects. It gives recommendations for policymakers and project developer in Asian cities, and is the basis for further work in the
CURB-AIR project.
