The six-part policy guidelines are based on the five regional workshops organized by Regional Technical Assistance (RETA) 5937, a project of the Asian Development Bank. These guidelines provide an in-depth analysis of the different components of an integrated strategy to reduce pollution from mobile sources.
Policymakers in Asia are encouraged to combine the general principles outlined in the policy guidelines with their knowledge of the local situation in their respective countries and cities to arrive at effective strategies.
