SAFE (a SIAM initiative) has always promoted an ‘Integrated Approach’ as the most effective and sustainable way to achieve cleaner environment and reducing road accidents. Every year the SAFE Annual Convention is organised with the objective of disseminating information about the best practices adopted nationally and internationally for improvement of road safety and cleaner environment.
This year the Society for Automotive Fitness & Environment – SAFE (a SIAM initiative) is organizing its Annual convention 2009 on 17th June 2009 at Hyderabad with the theme "Safety through Enforcement and Inspection & Certification".
The objective of this convention is to bring together experts, policy makers and all stakeholders to exchange best practices in the areas of enforcement, intelligent transport systems for safety on roads, and setting up of I & C centres to ensure proper maintenance of vehicles with the aim of making the roads safer and reduce the number of fatalities. A background note and tentative programme is enclosed for your kind reference.
A display of information on latest technology in the area of Road Safety and Inspection & Certification systems is also planned.
