Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi has said approval to the project of Lahore Rapid Mass Transit Train has been granted and the ground-breaking ceremony will be held in September.
The Chief Minister of Punjab province allocated Rs1 billion Green Programme under which people would be facilitated to initially purchase CNG-fitted four-stroke rickshaws being manufactured by three local companies. This idea was floated by the City Government Lahore in January 2005 after a ban was imposed on the two stroke rickshaws.
