The partnership approach brings together relevant stakeholders from local and national government, academe, civil society, and the business sector that have an interest in improving air quality in major cities in Asia. The CAI-Asia Partnership consists of

The initial membership of the CAI-Asia Partnership is formed by the members of the "old" CAI-Asia. New members with an interest to join the CAI-Asia partnership will be asked to sign up to the CAI-Asia Partnership Statement . To join as a member, scroll down and submit the online membership form.

I understand that submitting this form signifies a voluntary commitment by my organization to support the Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities (CAI-Asia) Partnership and our endorsement of the CAI-Asia Partnership Operating Guidelines.

The CAI-Asia Partnership is comprised of representatives from local governments, national governments, civil society, academe, the business sector, and development organizations who are committed to promote better air quality management in the cities of Asia by

  1. Encouraging the development and adoption of sound science as the basis of urban AQM;
  2. Stimulating the development and implementation of policies, programs and projects on urban air quality;
  3. Reviewing progress in urban AQM in Asia and outline future priorities for urban AQM, and
  4. Fostering coordination and cooperation with other regional programs and initiatives on urban air quality management in Asia.

Project Network Membership Responsibilities:

  • Share information with all other members of the CAI-Asia Partnership
  • Support broad-based participation and a coordinated approach in air quality management
  • Actively work with other stakeholders in the development and implementation of air quality management initiatives
  • Engage in the development of capacity for air quality management
  • Contribute towards the formulation of air quality management policies
  • Promote the development of air quality management strategies
  • Actively participate in Partnership-sponsored workshops and events for the purpose of facilitating project development and information exchange
