The CAI-Asia Center has the following categories of voting members:
i) Incorporators of the CAI-Asia Center and its initial Trustees
ii) Stakeholder representatives
The CAI-Asia Center intends to actively reflect the interests of the combined stakeholders that have an interest in promoting better air quality management (AQM) in Asia in the activities of the CAI-Asia Center. To accomplish this, the CAI-Asia Partnership will be invited to select four representatives who will be a voting member in the CAI-Asia Center representing a specific category of stakeholders in the CAI-Asia Center. For this purpose, the following stakeholder categories have been identified:
a) Cities and other forms of local governments;
b) National government agencies;
c) Civil society and academe;
d) Business sector; and
e) Development organizations
iii) Funding organizations
Organizations providing more than US$150,000 for any period of twelve (12) months may apply for a voting membership.
The non-voting members include:
(i) Funding organizations
Organizations providing US$15,000 to US$150,000 for any period of twelve (12) months to the CAI-Asia Center may apply for a non-voting membership.
(ii) Honorary members
From time to time the Board of Trustees may decide to award an honorary membership to an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the CAI-Asia Center and air quality management in Asia. Honorary membership will be for life.
(iii) Ex-Officio members
The Board of Trustees may decide to induct ex-officio members selected on the basis of their affiliation with an organization that is of direct relevance to the CAI-Asia Center. Ex-officio members are entitled to attend and participate in all activities of the CAI-Asia Center but they shall not be entitled to vote nor hold office.
