The CAI-Asia Center functions as the secretariat of the CAI-Asia Partnership. Many of the funded activities under CAI-Asia are actually implemented by the CAI-Asia Center. The business plan for the new CAI-Asia Center is being drafted. Pending the release of the new business plan, it has been agreed that the business plan for 2005-2007 will continue to guide the activities of the Center for the time being.

The CAI-Asia Center intends in the future to integrate energy efficiency in its activities as part of a co-benefits approach which links air quality management and climate change mitigation. With the additional support received the CAI-Asia Center also expects to start up a local network in India in the next months.
