- Study of the impact of air pollution on respiratory health of children in HCMC
- Household Survey
- Exposure assessment to multiple sources of air pollution
- Baseline health survey
- Survey of perceptions and economic costs
- Policy Implications and Awareness Raising
Capacity-building activities will be conducted in all these three main components to enable local scientists to adapt the methodology for other Asian cities. APPH will be part of the Public Health and Air Pollution for Asia Program (PAPA), which is implemented by HEI on behalf of CAI-Asia.

- Scientific and technical capacity building of Asian investigators
Financial:
APPH is cofinanced by ADB, Health Effects Institute and the Government of Viet Nam. The ADB component of the project will be financed on a grant basis by the Poverty Reduction Cooperation Fund (PRF) administered by ADB while HEI and the Government are contributing $200,000 and $150,000 toward the TA's total cost of $950,000.
