BP Tanzania initiated first steps to demonstrate their commitment in phasing-out leaded gasoline! Recently, the first consignment of unleaded motor gasoline arrived at BP Tanzania's Moshi Depot. Imported by rail from Mombasa, Kenya, the company is also currently making arrangement to bring in some by road from Moshi into two pilot service stations, namely BP Upanga on Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road and BP Ocean Road. This product will be ready for sale by Monday, June 9, 2003.

BP Tanzania is committed to spread the sale of this product to five other service stations in Dar and Arusha by December 2003.
