| Particulate Traps for Heavy Duty Vehicles | | Mayer, A. / The task was to investigate the technical aspects of retrofitting with highly efficient particulate traps all heavy duty vehicles (more than 3.5 tonnes total weight), i.e. all trucks, trailer trucks, city busses and coaches in Switzerland. Answers were sought for fundamental technical aspects, e.g. feasibility, operational behavior, installation possibilities and test procedures. Further, the investment and operating costs should be determined. The investigation was set in the context of similar projects worldwide and their results discussed. |
