Over the past year, the IEA has undertaken a study of transit systems in cities around the world. The primary focus has been on bus systems in developing countries, where dilapidated vehicles, old technologies, and rapidly increasing traffic congestion and sprawl are jeopardising the ability of the developing world s premier cities to achieve sustainability. - 4.
