A large number of you have booked a hotel in Delhi and Agra. The BAQ Secretariat has received numerous requests for a hotel confirmation number. Please rest assured that those who have booked a hotel using our hotel booking form will be booked either in their first or second choice hotel. The BAQ Secretariat will email everyone with confirmed hotel bookings on the 29th and 30th of November. This applies to both sponsored and self-funded participants. If you do not require a hotel booking, please inform May Ajero ([email protected]).

BAQ 2004 will be held at the Jaypee Palace hotel. All hotel reservations need to be booked through the BAQ 2004 Secretariat.

International Flights Need to Land in Delhi
Agra does not have an international airport, and it is expected that participants will fly to Delhi and proceed from there to Agra by road or rail. Paying participants are requested to book their flights to Delhi at the earliest possible date because December is in the peak season and flights easily fill up.

All non-Indian nationals will need an Indian visa, and it is the responsibility of each participant or their sponsoring organization to obtain a visa from their nearest Indian embassy/consulate.

For additional visa assistance, contact Charles Simbillo, [email protected].

Agra is home to the Taj Mahal, arguably one of the seven wonders of the world. December weather in Agra is crisp, cool, and pleasant. (expected maximum temperature: 23 °C, expected minimum temperature: 8 °C)

Agra is one of the most important centres for handicrafts made from marble and soft stone inlay work. Other major handicrafts: leather goods, brassware, carpets, jewelry and embroidery.

Workshop participants are allowed to bring their spouse to Agra. During the day, while you attend the BAQ 2004 workshops, your spouse will have the chance to explore Agra on day-trip packages that can be organized through TourmartIndia, the official BAQ-endoresed travel agent. While the Taj Mahal remains Agra's main attraction, there are many other places to see: Agra Fort, Firozabad, and Fatehpur Sikri.
