ICLEI is a local government association that works with muni- cipalities on policies and projects that impact urban governance, service delivery, energy, GHG emissions and air quality. ICLEI is a network of 17 cities in India, 6 in Indonesia, 7 in Thailand, 12 in the Philippines, 22 in Korea, and 12 in Japan. One project, the Cities for Climate Protection Campaign, is a global movement of cities seeking to reduce GHG emissions though local actions that have local benefit.
In terms of air quality, ICLEI has integrated air emissions indicators into its climate campaign, and helps cities quantify the emissions benefits of energy, waste, and transportation policies they pursue as part of the CCP.ICLEI assist cities in developing emission inventories and are updating a software product for harmonized air and GHG emissions action planning.
