In Asia and the Pacific, UNEP’s Regional Office for Asia and the pacific together with Regional Resource Center for Asia and the Pacific serves to control and or prevent the potential damage of the atmospheric environmental issues in the region and that the activities are specifically focuses on
- strengthen the regional cooperation through intergovernmental cooperation and stakeholders participation
- strengthening the capacities in tackling the atmospheric environmental issues at national as well as regional level
- establishment of scientific base on atmospheric environmental issues at national and regional level
- provide decision support information for policy formulation and mitigation
