The 3rd International Symposium on Air Quality Management at Urban, Regional and Global Scales, AQM2005, organized by the Turkish National Committee for Air Pollution Research and Control (TUNCAP) and the Korean Environmental Sciences Society (KENSS), will be held in Istanbul, Turkey from September 26-30, 2005.
The AQM2005 Symposium is a regional conference of The International Union of Air Pollution Prevention and Environmental Protection Associations-IUAPPA, and is supported by The European Federation of Clean
Air and Environmental Protection Associations -EFCA. Turkish National Committee for Air Pollution Research and Control (TUNCAP) is a member of EFCA and IUAPPA.
As part of the Symposium, IUAPPA will organize a special session on Long Range Transport of Air Pollution, which will explore alternative policy systems for tackling the problems in different regions of the world, with a special focus on the Mediterranean Region.
In addition, as part of its series of specialist seminars, for invited participants, on the problems of Transport and Air Pollution in Mega Cities, the Union will hold a special seminar on the role of technical and demand management measures in controlling pollution from vehicles.
