As we all know, last year on December 8, 2007 more than 2700 people participated in the rally at Kathmandu in "Climate Parade 2007". This was one of the top five demonstrations on that day all over the world.
This year, as world leaders gather in Poznan, Poland for the 14th Conference of Parties, to discuss a global plan to deal with the climate crisis, concerned citizens from around the world also gather on December 6th to demand global binding emission targets, equality between the developing and developed nations, and adaption funds to assist people in developing nationals to deal with the consequences of climate change. In Nepal, more than 300 young people will gather on Saturday morning the 6th of December to voice their concern of the inaction of our global leaders to tackle climate change.
Starting at 7.30 am at the Jawalakhel Ground in Lalitpur, these young people will "Run for the Climate". The RUN will end at Basantapur Darbar Square at 9:30, with closing remarks of some distinguish guest.
