The SUMA Summit is a 2-day workshop with about 85 stakeholders from India and the SUMA partners. The main objective of the Summit was to maximize the influence of the SUMAprogram on future SUT developments in Asia
Specific objectives were to:
- Showcase the results and outputs of the SUMA program to Indian and Asian stakeholders, particularly Indian government officials
- Develop a common position of the future of SUT in Asia
- Identify follow-up activities in India and other Asian countries that would involve SUMA partners and thus continue future cooperation between SUMA partners
In addition, a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) training course was planned on 27-28 October 2009 in Delhi and a Technical BRT Site Visit in Ahmedabad on 31 October to 1 November 2009.
